Shani Diluka is an exceptional pianist, internationally acclaimed for the poetic depth of her interpretations. She refuses to be confined to a single style: each of her recordings is an immersion into a distinct universe, where she fully invests herself in order to capture its depth and subtlety, delving into the roots and the stories behind the works she performs.
Whether it is baroque, classical, romantic music, or other repertoires such as American minimalism, she succeeds in revealing their nuances and richness. Both on record and on stage, her interpretations are inspired re-readings, forging a profound emotional and intellectual connection with her audience.
For her next album, to be released in September 2025, Shani turns her attention to the Renaissance, focusing in particular on its two main centers — Elizabethan England and Italy — whose legacies proved decisive for the development of classical music in Europe. The program of the album inspired the idea of staging Shani Diluka in a symbolic Renaissance setting: a monumental hall where, alone at the piano and without an audience, she performs a selection from the 26 tracks of the album.
The program will be structured into three chapters, each introduced by a short spoken introduction by Shani to the camera (no longer than 1–2 minutes). Each chapter will feature a distinct lighting design.
The light will evolve progressively, moving from the intimacy of the keyboard toward the grandeur of the architectural space of the legendary Abbaye of Fontevraud. » By Mario ( Sourdoreille production) and Nathan Binesty ( Film Director)
